We would like to invite you to join us for the Rocky Mountain MSDC's 2009 Business Opportunity Fair and explore your opportunities to achieve a positive impact.

Our focus is on minority business development, and one of the tools that we utilize for that purpose is our annual Business Opportunity Fair.  After 35 years of operation, this business fair is more important than ever.  The current harsh economic climate makes it imperative that this business fair will be the focal point for bringing together the many business concerns that must work together to stimulate business and thereby stimulate the economy.

Our desire for this business fair is that it be a catalyst for bringing together corporations, governmental agencies, academic concerns, and RMMSDC certified minority-owned businesses that play such a vital role in the economies of the four states that Rocky Mountain MSDC serves.  Those states are Colorado, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Utah.

Difficult times, such as the harsh economic climate under which we all are now operating, require collaborative efforts that will ensure the success of all involved parties.  By serving as a networking venue for the many business entities described above, we sincerely hope that critical dialogue will take place throughout the day and that business will be transacted between those parties.

Before going any further, allow me to give a heartfelt thanks to a dedicated team of volunteers that has been instrumental in coordinating the planning of this event through countless hours of meetings and soliciting the participation of our certified minority-owned businesses and procurement entities with the goal being to drive business between the two groups.
This business fair will highlight the value of both the minority businesses that are certified through the council and those corporations that are members of the council.  As I give thanks, let me also thank both our corporate members and our certified MBEs for being a part of Rocky Mountain MSDC and for their strong support of the council.

I sincerely hope that all of you will enjoy the 2009 Business Opportunity Fair and that you will have much success in transacting business throughout the day.
